Consulting & Support

Healthcare operates at various levels of care, each mandated to adhere to rules that ensure a high standard of care. These rules when established by regulatory bodies, are known as Regulations or Statutes, while Policies are defined by the care provider to align with these regulations and specify more detailed practices.

Care facilities and homes are audited for compliance with the standards applicable to their licensed level of care and their own policies. At Residential and Assisted Living levels, regulations require an RN to be available for consultation. This RN Consultant thoroughly audits resident records, engages in meaningful conversation with staff and residents, and collaborates with leadership at intervals specified by the regulations.

The nurse meticulously reviews health records of each resident, noting any deviations from baseline, ensuring record completeness and accuracy, evaluating medication administration practices, and confirming presence of therapeutic diets. The Nurse Consultant proactively identifies areas of concern, delivers a comprehensive written report on findings, and provides recommendations to the facility's administrator based on the results. They expertly suggest educational opportunities for staff or residents, schedule sessions to provide the education, or guide leadership on accessing essential educational resources.  Frequently, the RN Consultant is credentialed to provide required continuing education for the facility staff providing support.
